Bill Griffin is a southern gentleman in the truest and finest sense of the word. He is a third generation Asheville native who is soft spoken, gentle and ethical. He offers to his clients caring and listening skills and he loves people and a challenge. A real estate transaction can be a challenge; however, with Bill’s long term knowledge of the area and commitment to providing stellar service to his clients, as a 30 year licensed broker, he meets that challenge and paves the way to success for them.

 

A graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School (now Asheville High), he went on to earn a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University/Winston Salem. He then attended graduate Business School at the University of Alabama where he courted his future wife Alice, a 20 year real estate professional with Beverly-Hanks. They have proudly celebrated their 40^th wedding anniversary and are blessed with two grown children and four grandchildren. Also, Bill served in the Air National Guard for seven years.

 

His business career began in banking with a major national bank. Bill worked his way up to Vice President through the ranks from a Branch Manager to Commercial Loan and Development Officer and was primarily responsible for acquiring and servicing commercial and professional bank relationships. He also had oversight of the Investment activities of the Asheville office. Through the years he has been an owner of several local businesses including real estate investment syndication and residential property management serving WNC investors from acquisition analysis to managing over 400 units. He spent many years in financial planning as President-Registered Securities Principal, RIA of Professional Wealth Management, Inc.

 

Loving his hometown as he does, Bill’s caring and giving nature extends his generosity to his community. He has served on many Boards and held various offices with the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Civitan Club, United Way, and Family Counseling Service and additionally he has remained active in leadership positions in his church.

 

The Griffin family enjoys annual family trips to the many wonderful North and South Carolina Beaches and he and Alice have also enjoyed Caribbean trips and London and Paris jaunts.

 

After God, family and country, Bill’s love is golf. If you want to talk golf or golf course communities, he is your man! When time allows other activities he enjoys  are  fishing, hunting and skiing and of course he is an avid Wake Forest sports fan. You’ll be a fan of his when you work with him in the sale or purchase of property in western North Carolina!
