Binford grew up in both Cashiers, NC, on a mink farm (Lonesome Valley) and in Asheville, NC, attending the Asheville Day School, St. Geneveive's, St Catherine's in Richmand VA and the Newfound School.  Binford earned her Bachelor of Science at Western Carolina University in Interior Design, then went on to earn her Master's degree in Architecture at Clemson University.  Her entire family calls Asheville home, from her parents, Frances and Dick Jennings, to her brother, Dick Jr, owner of Jennings Builder's Supply and her sister, Sally, owner of Sunburst Trout Company.  Binford has strong roots in Asheville. Biltmore Forest and North Asheville were her stomping grounds as a teenager and young adult.  As the years have passed, she has become familiar with north, east, south and west Asheville.

In her teens she taught TM in Houston TX, Gainesville, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables FL, Binghamton NY, Cashiers, Highlands, Chapel Hill and Durham NC.

In her 20's she attended Penland School of Crafts and enjoyed practicing the art of hand-thrown pottery as a profession for many years.

While working in the field of architecture and interior design in Dayton Ohio, Binford dealt with both commercial and residential design, but is now enjoying the residential side of Real Estate.  As she says, "I love introducing people to their dream home in the most beautiful city in the world...Asheville, NC!"  She also appreciates the influence her design background affords her in real estate.  Being able to see beyond the confines of a house or structure to the possibilities of renovation and remodelling has proven to be of great value to Binford's clients.

Binford has twin sons, age 21, Timothy and Nicholas.  Both are on the Dean's List at the University of Cincinnati.

When she is not working, Binford focuses on her children, her cat of 21 years and her yellow lab, Daisy, hiking, canoeing, biking and eating at the fabulous restaurants in Asheville and the surrounding area.  In the words of George Bernard Shaw, "There is no love more sincere than the love of food." That being said, ASHEVILLE IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!!
