DEBORAH OLSEN

Deborah was born in Scarsdale, NY and received her high school education at Chatham Hall in Virginia, graduating from Rogers Hall, near Boston. She was a stellar student in Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida where she earned a BA with a double major in Business and Economics. She earned numerous honors during high school and college in drama, current events, music appreciation, participated in yearbook editorial staff and Kappa Kappa Gamma and was elected student government comptroller. She went on to teach at high schools in Florida and New Jersey.

Deb began her successful real estate career over 25 years ago and continues to be a high achiever in all that she does. She was the Owner/Broker of K & K Realty which was named "Small Business of the Year" and subsequently sold to and joined Edina Realty as Outstate Director of Relocation. She served as President of the Minnesota CRS and the Minnesota CRB chapters. She sold real estate in Kansas City, Missouri, and Burlington, Vermont where she was President of the Vermont CRS chapter and on the Board of Directors of Sunrise Rotary. Deb enjoyed the outdoors as a volunteer Ski Host at Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont.

Knowing that continued education is the best way to serve buyers’ and sellers’ needs she has earned the following professional designations: GRI (Graduate of Realtors Institute); CRB (Certified Brokerage Manager); CRS (Certified Residential Specialist); and CRP (Certified Relocation Professional), which allows her to bring to you the very latest in technical, financing and marketing information.

Her natural strong curiosity leads her to try new things, learn new things, and meet new people in new places so melding into the Asheville scene was just another new adventure. She is involved in Rotary International, Reuter Center Singers, Asheville Ski Club and the American Golf Association. She has traveled much of the US, Europe, Caribbean and even into the Arctic Circle; enjoys all outdoor activities and is a certified downhill ski instructor. Hiking, gardening and family fill any spare time she has available.
