ELIZABETH DENNIS When she gives you a mini tour of Waynesville, she makes you really "see it" and "feel it". Her effervescent personality and her casually elegant demeanor create an instant comfort level with both her and the area at your first encounter. Elizabeth grew up in St. Pete, FL, and at the age of 20, with the adventuresome spirit reserved for the very young; she moved to Atlanta, GA and soon after went to work at Delta Airlines as a Reservations Agent. She moved up to working at the City Ticket office and eventually became a flight attendant; domestic and international as well as a flight attendant supervisor. She enjoyed a 29 year career history with the airlines which prepared her well for her later real estate career. The airline industry experience allowed her to meet people from all walks of life from all over the world. As a result, she developed knowledge of diversity and a global view of the world long before the current "globalization" as we know it today. She developed and honed her customer service skills to the maximum. This kind of experience is a definite plus to her buyers and sellers in her real estate career-Futhering her professional developement, Elizabeth recently completed the curriculum and experience requirements for the designations as a She and her husband Sam enjoy their blended family of four adult children and five grandchildren. They were ready for a change from big city life and made the decision to move to Waynesville in 1999. After years of big cities they wanted to enjoy the daily life of a small town with a sense of community and still have the city amenities of Asheville as a close back drop. Waynesville indeed, fit the bill. After moving, in addition to her real estate career, they have melded beautifully into the community with active participation in community affairs. Elizabeth\'s community pursuits include volunteer work with the Haywood Arts Council\'s unique "Quick Draw" Event which is a fundraiser for art scholarships and art teacher grants. Elizabeth was also selected to participate in Leadership Haywood, a local program aimed at enhancing knowledge of the community in the areas of government, education and business. She and Sam are both active in the Long Chapel United Methodist Church.
