Elena Peters is a unique and delightful young woman who is a pleasure to meet. She was born in Albania, 12 miles from the border of Greece. Consequently, she is fluent in three languages; Greek and Albanian in addition to her command of the English language. She graduated from high school in the city of Korche; graduated from college and earned a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught high school there for two years and then met and married her husband Mark and embarked on a new life with their move to the United States.
San Francisco was her first American home place where her husband, who is a Physicians Assistant specializing in heart surgery had an excellent position. In 1995 he was recruited to join the Ashville Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery practice and soon they experienced crossing the United States to Asheville.
Upon arriving here, Elena truly felt at home in this country. She says the topography of the land and the beautiful trees in western North Carolina are very much like in her original homeland of Albania. Additionally she finds joy in the melting pot atmosphere that Asheville has become and has great appreciation for the diversity that we enjoy.When she first arrived Elena attended Asheville-Buncombe Technical College and completed the challenging pre-requisites for the Nursing Program which she thoroughly enjoyed. A change of heart led to her real calling to a career in real estate.
Besides the joy of being a real estate agent in our wonderful area, she is a typical American mom with two school age children at Glen Arden where she is a school volunteer and soccer mom. Her husband had a huge musical influence on her and their children now are involved in playing piano and violin and her son recently also learning French Horn.
At their south Asheville home the family enjoys gardening, having ten raised beds and are also pet lovers with a cat and dog as well as a 30 gallon fish tank. This family has taken full advantage of living the simple American dream to the fullest.
Elena’s diverse background adds extra flavor to the clients she works with because of the different perception she has to offer those thinking of a move to our area.
She is small but mighty in her dedication to service and integrity throughout each transaction.
