Experience: Jan started her real estate career in Ohio in 1989 and has been a consistent top producer throughout her career. She has been with Beverly-Hanks and Associates, the area’s leading firm in real estate, and actively involved in selling real estate in Western North Carolina since 2000.

Professional Designations: Jan has recently been certified as an ECO Consultant, having completed a minimum of 36 hours of class work in these issues. She knows where to find answers and qualified contractors and suppliers for clients who wish to pursue these real estate concepts and is eager to help. Jan has earned several designations including the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). This is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field and includes just 5% of all sales associates in the U.S. She also holds the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation. She was named Wood County Realtor of the Year in 1996 and has served on the Board of Realtors in many capacities including President.

Community Involvement: Jan is currently serving on the Flat Rock Planning Board as Chairperson, active in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville, member of Friendship Force, International, and on Go Green committee, promoting green practices within and outside Beverly-Hanks and Associates. She has served as a Court Appointed Advocate, past president of Southern Lights Square Dance Club, and served on Bowling Green City Council.

Personal: Jan enjoys gardening, tennis, travel, bridge, reading, cooking, and entertaining when she has time. She and her husband Ron have 5 wonderful grandchildren in Ohio. Through Friendship Force, International, she and her husband traveled to New Zealand where they stayed with host families and learned about the culture and visited incredibly beautiful places.
