As a former engineer, John Cox is definitely a detail person. His real estate clients appreciate his attention to detail when it comes to their real estate transactions and you will as well.
John is a North Carolina native who graduated from Brevard High School in Transylvania County. His interests in math and science led him to obtain an engineering degree from Georgia Tech, but his education in real estate began at his own home.
As the son of an architect, he enjoyed tagging along with his dad visiting houses that he designed that were under construction. He spent his high school summers working on construction crews and was fascinated to see architectural drawings like his dad’s come to life in three dimensions.
After college John enjoyed a 17-year career designing industrial plant systems with BASF Corporation in Enka and Morganton, NC. Real estate remained a part of his life, however, as he built and sold his own real estate. He has come full circle, joining the Beverly-Hanks real estate team, and re-living those wonderful childhood and high school memories of real estate. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with buyers and sellers, helping them create their own real estate memories - whether new construction or resale property; whether a first time home buyer or seller or the most affluent client.
John’s excellent background brings experience and perspective from several different points of view in regards to the buying and selling process. Being a native, he also can provide vast amounts of information to buyers and sellers regarding the history of this area, the many natural amenities that the area offers, and effectively guide them on their real estate journey.
John and his wife Karen reside in Asheville and are proud of their two children, one at NC State and one in middle school. When off time allows John enjoys model railroading, flying hot air balloons, helping coach his son’s baseball team and spending time with their Scottish Terriers. At his church he is a choir member, has served as a deacon, and has also worked with the church’s youth groups. JOHN COX….detailed AND dependable!
