A native of Asheville, Joanna started her Real Estate career in 2005 after returning home to Asheville from Los Angeles California where she had been working in the film industry as the Office Manager for a Music Preparation Office. She initially got her Appraiser’s License and then extended her interest in Real Estate by also getting her Broker’s License.

She was Rookie of the Year in ’05 and Agent of the Year in “07.  She is consistently a top producer – most recently Sales Agent of the month for January and Production Agent of the month for February of this year.  She feels that much of her success is due to the fact that she is a native of Asheville and loves to “show off” her home town!

She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the UNC Greensboro School of Music. She has sung with the New York City Opera Company and has performed on Broadway and in National Tours of CATS, SHOWBOAT, THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER IN CONCERT and others. She also has the distinct honor of having been one of Josh Groban’s voice teachers. When not selling real estate, she is highly active in her community. She served six years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Asheville Lyric Opera Company, is a choir member and soloist at Central United Methodist Church as well as serving on the Board of Trustees. She teaches private voice in Asheville and in her spare time (?) is an independent Mary Kay consultant and loves spending time with her family, which includes dogs Sarah, and Rudy and cat Oliver. She also enjoys decorating, traveling and reading.
