JOHN BUZENBERG
                      “Fulfilling Mountain Dreams”

I have lived in North Carolina for twenty-three years, having moved here in 1983 from Colorado Springs.  I found that real estate was the perfect profession for me; combining my particular set of skills and interests, my love of mountain lands, appreciation of well built homes and my enjoyment in meeting and working with a variety of people.  My motivation as a realtor is to help people find homes or land that make their hearts sing.

Mountains have captivated my interest since my first summer in college when I worked in the Rocky Mountains as a guide and ranger.  This affinity for mountain locales grew when Peace Corps sent me to the Andes Mountains of Chile for two years to work with indigenous people (the Mapuche).  After the Peace Corps, I embarked on a management and consulting career that gave me valuable experience in the manufacture of electrical and solar equipment, design of hydronic (hot water) heating systems, and customizing plans for residential buildings.

During this time, I also transformed my travel avocation and Spanish fluency into a full-time business organizing specialty tours to promote the understanding of indigenous peoples and ancient cultures. My staff and I organized and led tours in eight states and nineteen countries and our travel spanned five continents with an emphasis on Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Egypt, Greece, China, and Indonesia.

My passion today is using my wide range of life experiences to help people of diverse backgrounds fulfill their dreams for a mountain life.  I am equally adept at finding homes or land for buyers and assisting sellers in the marketing of their mountain property.  On my down time you will most likely find me working on my woodpile, reading, or hiking on a mountain trail.  You have the dream….I have the expertise to help you fulfill the dream.
