Laurie Spencer counts herself as one of the lucky ones to be a North Carolina native, having grown up in south Asheville. She graduated from T.C. Roberson High School and then attended Emory University where she earned a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Marketing and Advertising.

 

A new chapter in her life led her to Atlanta, GA and Winston Salem, NC, where she enjoyed a long career in advertising as a copywriter for all media forms; including print, radio, and television. Then her marriage took her to a totally new life experience living in Bogota`, Colombia where she learned to speak Spanish fluently.

 

Laurie and her daughter happily returned to North Carolina for their next life adventure and she enjoyed a career in education teaching Spanish in the school systems and also worked as an interpreter in the medical and legal fields.

 

In 2005 Laurie began her real estate career and found it to be one of most fulfilling chapters in her life. Her knowledge of the area and absolute love of her native mountains brought her full circle to her roots. Her buyers and sellers not only get the advantage of her real estate knowledge, but also the experience of working with an efficient professional who is committed to learning the needs and best strategies for assisting each individual real estate client.

 

Laurie is at her best helping people with their relocation needs and she appreciates the opportunity to share all the outdoor activities she herself enjoys; like hiking the mountain trails and improving as a beginning golfer in a part of the country with so many beautiful courses.
