Experience: Rick has been in local real estate since 1970 and owned his own successful acreage marketing firm for ten of those years. Rick also has extensive experience in land development and excavation. "It is most satisfying to be helping the children and parents of previous clients."
Education: He studied Engineering at Cornell University and has completed over 30 specialized real estate courses around the country, including taxation, land development, single family home investing, finance, conservation easements and real estate counseling.
Professional Affiliations: Merrill holds the Accredited Land Consultant(ALC) designation, the Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS) and the E-Pro designation of the National Association of Realtors, was SE Regional Vice President of the Realtors Land Institute, and was President of the Hendersonville Board of Realtors.
Focus: Acreage, fine homes and commercial property are his areas of involvement. He is a ten million dollar plus producer and typically closes in excess of forty transactions per year.
Personal: He and his wife, JoAnne, have three adult children.Gardening and mechanics are hobbies. They live on a horse farm in Flat Rock, North Carolina.
