MARILYN OBRIG

 

Life began for Marilyn in Baltimore, Maryland, however, a family move to Florida resulted in her graduating from high school at Fort Myers High school. She went on to graduate from Broward Community College having earned her AA in Paralegal studies.

 

She spent several years as a Paralegal and Legal Administrator before earning her Florida brokers license in 1981. This astute and dynamic woman never looked back! Through the years she has earned a reputation as one of the most trusted and respected professionals in the business. Her hard work ethic and negotiating skills enabled her to complete a sensational, record-breaking transaction with the sale of a $16,250,000 property while still in Florida. Her marketing talent cemented her position with a repeat high-profile clientele that included screen stars, professional athletes, and CEO’s /top executives of major national and local companies.

 

She brought her 26 years of experience to the mountains and now shares her talent, expertise, and reputation for handling complex sales to her buying and selling clients in Western North Carolina.

 

To highly achieve at ones career is one thing but to excel in every area of life is another. Her many activities in her industry, her community, and her church have brought her a lifetime of recognition for her good acts.   To name a few of these activities: Board member Master Broker Forum, VP, women’s Executive Club, Church Board of Trustees and Cathedral Choir, Professional Standards Committee, Founding member of Kids in Distress Auxiliary, Task Force for Drug Prevention, City Ballet, Teen Nurturing parenting class and Boys and Girls Club. Marilyn is currently serving as Vice President of the Laurel Ridge Country Club Homeowners Association.

 

When time allows she enjoys travel and has been to Europe (mostly Germany), traveled the U.S. and the Carribean. Home relaxation includes reading, Sudoku, boating, hiking and playing bridge. The best enjoyment of all is being surrounded by family, with three grown children and four wonderful grandchildren.

 

In spite of all of her achievements in her career and charity work, her biggest achievement is helping her buyers and sellers achieve their goals. Her clients are loyal and most become friends. Clients AND friends….a beautiful combination.
