MUKUNDA PACIFICI
Mukunda puts the "fun" back into the fundamentals of a real estate transaction! But, don’t be mistaken, he is deadly serious about the success of your transaction. He also believes that "He who Laughs. Lasts!"; and he leads the way through the marketing or purchasing of your property in a manner that truly helps you to enjoy the journey.
His unusual name is nothing more exotic than his parent’s unique personalities and creativity. You may call him Mike if you prefer, but you will be glad you called him!
Mukunda’s birthplace was Denver, CO. , however, he grew up in Virginia and graduated from Blacksburg High. He then attended Radford University on a music scholarship but after two years felt the pull of the west where he transferred to Northern Arizona University and studied Parks & Recreation Management. He went on to earn a Masters Degree in Health & Physical Education at Virginia Tech. After graduating college he began his career working in Flagstaff as an Outdoor Guide for corporations and executives. His outdoor guide career continued back in Virginia with Tangent Outfitters where he led canoe, biking and kayaking trips.
He comes from a family both academically and musically gifted. His mother is a professor at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and his father teaches English at Virginia Tech. He inherited his musical genes, playing the saxophone, piano, and guitar from a grandmother who was a professional pianist and a father who plays guitar.
When Mukunda relocated to Asheville he began his real estate career and easily acclimated to all of the physical activities he was used to and now continues to enjoy in these beautiful mountains.
Mukunda’s clients love his honesty and his organizational skills that always find him totally prepared for the task at hand. He is a committed volunteer for United Way and is a founding member of the Highland Circle. He is also a committee volunteer for the YMCA Strong Kids campaign.
This unsolicited testimonial from a former client says it best:
"My husband and I recommend Mukunda Pacifici wholeheartedly to anyone needing a realtor for the Asheville market. Mukunda is a thorough professional: he knows his stuff and he keeps on top of your needs. Mukunda loves the Asheville area and can guide you through the pros and cons of houses in all Asheville neighborhoods -- and what he doesn't know, he'll find out for you. Once you've found your house, he's there to help you negotiate the legal maze of purchase and, finally, to find the right contractor or other tradesmen required to get your house move-in ready. The best part about working with Mukunda, however, is that you feel his only goal is to help you find your perfect home. This dedication to your success, combined with Mukunda's easy going charm and great sense of humor, makes househunting with him as stress-free as such an endeavor can be. In fact, househunting with Mukunda is really fun. We'd rehire him in a flash, and recommend him without reservation.
“Mukunda not only found me a house in less than a week, the property already had an offer in on it however, because of his strong network in the industry I was still able to get it despite making an offer that was less than what was already on the table!, Because of his efficiency as well as strong communication skills, I would recommend him to family as well as friends (anyone for the matter)… -Paul” January 12, 2009
"I have enjoyed working with Mukunda in connection with a number of real estate transactions in recent years. He is reliable, conscientious, hardworking, and competent in his advice. I would recommend him to anyone needing real estate services. Dave H, Attorney"
"Recently, we purchased a home and want you to know how pleased we were with the services that we received from Mukunda Pacifici.
The first most impressive point was the initial conversation we had. We phoned your office about 8:30 a.m. one Saturday morning. With no particular agent in mind, we were transferred Mukunda. We were impressed that someone was there and ready to help so early on a Saturday. Since we were going to be limited on time, we discussed what we were interested in, and he sent several listings via e mail. Prior to our arrival, which was just a week after initial contact, he had prescreened several listings, and saved us a great deal of time. He was never negative in his endeavors, but gave us the pros and cons of several listings, and suggested that we check some out, but bypass others that had specific issues that we wanted to avoid. (i.e. shared wells, shared driveways, oil burning appliances, etc).
We were also impressed with his knowledge of the school system, as we have a 12 year old son. We expressed to Mukunda that a safe school environment was top priority. He provided us with details of the area schools and he even provided us with a pay scale for a friend who was interested in moving to the area.
He treated us like we were buying a million dollar house in The Cliffs. He took us to every property we requested…we only had 3 days to look…and look we did! If we passed a house we liked, but wasn’t on the tour list, he made the call and we went to see the property. When we made an offer, he handled everything without a flaw. The one thing which worried us the most (in relocating here), was buying a new home, turned out to be the most pleasant.
Even after the closing, he continued to call and help us find whatever services we needed. We called on him several times and he rose gracefully to the occasion each time.
