    NOLA GOODCHILD
    “Good Person. GREAT Realtor”

Nola grew up as one of nine children and graduated from Riviera Beach High in Palm Beach County, Florida. She graduated Magna cum Laude from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore MD, with a BFA in painting and then returned to Florida and earned a BS in Hotel and Food Service Management from Palm Beach Junior College while working full time.

As a young woman, Nola practiced her management and marketing skills in restaurant management in cities like Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Austin, and Tampa and sold her paintings at the same time. A change of direction allowed her even more travel experiences when she became a wine specialist and sold fine wines from around the world. Her selling skills won her trips to France and to California and Reno.

The next chapter in her life included getting married and moving back to Florida and being blessed with two sons. During that time Nola had vacationed in western North Carolina and each vacation here gave her a sense of what a great place this would be to raise her children and she set the wheels in motion to relocate to Hendersonville and Nola applauds the school system in the area. When she first moved here she was in beverage sales for 7 WNC counties and in true form became the outstanding sales rep for her district and this time earned a trip to Germany.

Her travels to various NC towns and experiencing so many different communities led her to her next career; real estate.   Just as in her previous sales occupations she earns accolades from her clients and is known for always going the extra mile. Additionally, her clients laud her for her organizational skills and for building quality relationships.

With all of the professional success and awards through the years, more importantly, Nola is a proud mother; and rightly so. Her oldest son is an outstanding music education major at Western North Carolina University and is in the marching band and has received several music honors. Her second son attends Appalachian State University and placed third in the Southern College Conference in his freshman year for the Decathlon event and is also on the Deans list. This woman who does everything (and does them well), is a committed volunteer as a member of Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization. Its more than 1.2 million members volunteer their time and talent to further the Rotary motto; “Service Above “Self.”

Nola says family means everything and says: “Families First; Yours and mine.” GRATEFUL BUYERS sent Nola this unsolicited letter:

    “Dear Nola,
Daphne and I would like to give our sincere thanks for your help in finding our new home. You were very diligent, warm and professional from beginning to end. It is said that purchasing and selling a home, and moving are three of the most stressful things people may experience in life. Because of you, purchasing our home was stress free.

After hurricane Katrina destroyed our town and our livelihood in Mississippi, it was obvious our lives changed and we had to make improvements in our lives. We can now call Hendersonville our new home, and you can sleep well at night knowing that you played a crucial role in that. (C. Vorbrich)”
