When you first meet Phyllis you will agree that she is one of a kind! A native of New Orleans, she graduated from St. Joseph Academy, attended college and then married her husband Darrell who is a wood artist. She says she will always have a love for Louisiana and its people.

She is so multi talented the next several years led her on a colorful life journey. (Literally.) She spent years combining art and 14+ years with real estate projects, rehabbing homes, owned eleven design build real estate projects including two commercial projects. Her artistic talent, vision and sense of color & design led her to consulting for interior and exterior real estate. She also trained in Europe regarding hair color and design and enjoyed being a salon owner and color educator. Her enthusiastic and optimistic attitude allows her to enjoy any tasks she undertakes.

Real estate licensed for 15 years Phyllis and her husband decided to explore the lifestyle of the beautiful mountain living that they enjoy today in western North Carolina. The gentle four seasons strongly appealed to them and after extensive searching they found their very own slice of paradise right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It only took a few steps on this 15 acre parcel of land for them to know that it was home. With their "flatlander" background they had to overcome the numerous challenges of selecting, siting and designing their new mountain home. Through their vision and creativity and their artistic collaboration their dream home became a reality. Phyllis sees real estate as a profitable art project and gives her client’s unusual insight into choosing real estate and making it a profitable venture for them as well as a lifetime of enjoyment.

For fun, Phyllis and her husband and their German Shepard "Max" enjoy mountain hiking and of course, their gourmet picnics.

Excerpts from an unsolicited letter about Phyllis that Beverly-Hanks received:

To Whom It May Concern,

After having our house listed with 2 different agents over the course of a year, we were not getting the service we felt we deserved. We took our home off the market and tried to figure out the next step.

We set up a meeting with Phyllis Copeland to hear what she and Beverly-Hanks had to offer. Needless to say, we didn’t go into into the meeting with too much enthusiasm. My husband and I sat back and allowed Phyllis to go over what she could do to market the house. We had heard it all before but somehow felt she was more of what we had hoped for from the start, a year earlier. The proof was going to be in her follow through, after we left the office.
