Sharon Carlyle

Sharon Carlyle is a true daughter of the south having been born in Asheville, and graduating from T. C. Roberson High School. She studied accounting at Western Carolina University and worked for Johnson, Price, and Sprinkle P. A.

In 1978 she met her husband, Ed, also a native of Western North Carolina. They marrieded and started their family of two sons. Shortly after the birth of their second son, Ed's job, in manufacturing management, took them to Salisbury, N. C. Over the next twenty-tree years they moved numerous times throughout the United States, finally landing in England. Their stay in England was an exciting time for the whole family. They traveled extensively around Europe and to South Africa.

During this time of travel, Sharon discovered she had an artistic talent and she developed a career in art for herself that could continue, no matter what city, state or country she was in. Originally a self taught artist, she went on to study with a great many artist/teachers, Ultimately, she began to teach as well, through several community colleges as well as private adult classes. She is most proud of the three year she taught at Grace Christian School in Sanford, N. C. There she developed a very successful art program in which several of her K-12 Students won numerous state and national awards.
