                         TOM TRACY

Tom Tracy was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio.  He graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.

He spent 18 + years at Anchor Hocking Corporation, where he was accountable for various marketing and product management functions.  In 1986 he relocated to one of South Carolina’s prettiest places, Hilton Head Island, where he opened a Financial Planning practice.  He later opened another practice in Waynesville, which eventually led him to choose a career in Real Estate.  His successful financial and business background is an obvious asset to his buyers and sellers.  He exhibits a combination of strong marketing skills and the expertise required for implementing hundreds of financial plans. This expertise has earned the trust of his clients while handling their personal investments in real estate.

Tom and his wife Jeannie moved to the mountains in 1998 to experience a more relaxed environment and to enjoy the wonderful amenities available in Western North Carolina.  Also, by relocating to the mountains, an opportunity was made available for Jeannie to pursue her dream of fabricating jewelry.   Jeannie’s gallery, located in downtown Waynesville, is named “The Jeweler’s Workbench” and offers hand-crafted jewelry, jewelry boxes, local artwork and distinctive watches.  Her business has enjoyed tremendous success since her opening in 2004.

Always a giver, Tom has been highly active in the Haywood Chamber of Commerce. He has also been involved in various United Way campaigns over the years and volunteers his time to the Salvation Army during the holidays.

Tom’s current “kids” are his two rescue dogs “Solo” and “Zelda,” but he also has a grown son and two fantastic grand kids in Ohio that he would love to see more often! In his spare time he enjoys the ancient sport of handball, along with golf, gardening and walking the dogs.
