Tammy Stanton grew up with real estate around the kitchen table. Originally from Atlanta, Ga., her family was very involved in the Atlanta real estate market. Her father founded AFCO Realty, Inc. in 1971, a full service, global commercial realty company, and maintains to this day one of the longest successful track records in the business. Suffice it to say that real estate "comes naturally" for Tammy.

After graduating from The Lovett School, Tammy earned a Bachelor's Degree of Nursing at University of Alabama and moved to Boulder, Co. She lived in Boulder for 8 years, where she specialized in cardiac care. She served as a charge nurse, team leader, and was active in many industry related committees. Tammy also met her husband while living in Boulder.

It seems there always comes a time when one feels compelled to come home to their roots, as did Tammy. Asheville felt like the perfect balance of living in the south, close to family, while enjoying a beautiful mountain lifestyle.

Tammy entering real estate seemed inevitable considering her background, and she joined Beverly-Hanks in 2004. Her husband, Mike, is a builder in the Asheville area, and they share an interest in healthy built, energy efficient homes.

When Tammy is not working, she can be found hiking with beloved dog, Mela, practicing yoga, and entertaining friends. Tammy and her husband are also involved in an international adoption.

Tammy is a full time, career realtor with a mission to practice real estate with truthfulness, determination, and the latest innovation. A client recently said of Tammy, "Just a note to thank you so much for all your hard work.
