What is Bee Tree Village Cliffside?

Bee Tree Village Cliffside is a new construction community offering Mountain Cottages and eventually Condominiums. This is actually the newest phase of the already existing Bee Tree Village. By the way, please don’t let the name “Cliffside” fool you. The roads are very gentle, and the homes are built on level yards. Tell me more about the fenced courtyard.

Bee Tree Village Cliffside is one of the only maintenance-included neighborhoods that offer a privately fenced courtyard. The thought is, even though you may be looking to downsize in home responsibilities that doesn’t mean you might not enjoy having a flower garden or a place to let your dog out or a comfortable place to entertain friends for a cookout. Most other neighborhoods comparable to Bee Tree Village don’t offer this, and you can’t even plant annuals outside in the yard! As you consider purchasing your new home, think about everyday living and how something as simple as a fenced courtyard can add to your quality of life.

How much are the Home Owner’s Association dues?

Currently, the developer is proposing $120.00 per month. When he nears completion of the neighborhood and turns the Association over to the residents, they may choose to modify line items based on what they feel is needed. For example, an Association may choose to manage themselves versus employing a management company. If done on a volunteer basis, this would eliminate that management expense.

Who is the builder at Bee Tree Village Cliffside?

The building company is SLC, Inc., owned and operated by Stan Caton. Stan has been a licensed contractor since the 1980s. He is a former President of the Asheville Home Builder’s Association, and through that affiliation has served on the State Board of Directors as well as the National Board of Directors. Over the years, Stan’s homes have been Parade of Homes winners 13 times! Those awards recognize excellence in design and craftsmanship. Aside from building related affiliations, Stan has also served on the Board of Directors for the Asheville Humane Society, and he is proud to be an Eagle Scout. Most importantly, Stan has experience and the benefit of creating a team of tradesmen over the years that he can count on to deliver quality.

Do I have to build a home, or are there any completed?

Typically there is an assortment of homes available in various stages of construction. You can expect to find some in just the beginning stage of construction and some nearing completion. From time to time there is a completed home ready to move into, although not as common. Call or email to find out up to date status.

Can I select my own finish colors, and are upgrades available?

Yes, as long as the items have not already been ordered or installed. Actually, if the builder can use ordered items in another house, he will try to accommodate you. Most of the homeowners contract their homes early enough to select their own finishes and/or upgrades. One of the great things about Bee Tree Village is watching the various homes come together with completely unique looks based on individual choices. You really can create a home that suits you. Does Bee Tree Village Cliffside offer handicapped accessible homes?

Yes. They are able to customize a great deal of their floor plans to accommodate accessibility issues. Of course, the stage of construction may limit the extent of this ability. It is easier if they start from the beginning. That way you can incorporate as many aspects as possible such as door widths, floor coverings, cabinet height, stairway chair lifts, showers and more. All of the floor plans already offer main level living. This means that the garage, kitchen, living area, master suite, 2nd bedroom (per plan), laundry and guest bath are on the main level. This is a valuable feature that so many insist upon and is important to your resale value, too.
