SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING IN FLETCHER

Fletcher is an active, growing community. Live the life you choose.

“Pride in Our Past, and Faith in Our Future”

A small town that enjoys close proximity to some of Western North Carolina's biggest attractions, businesses, and natural wonders, Fletcher is no longer simply a sleepy stopping point between Asheville and Hendersonville. Fletcher’s current population of 7,600 is more than double what it was 20 years ago.

Located in north Henderson County, adjacent to Interstate 26, Fletcher is just a quick jaunt away from some of the most vibrant and culturally rich cities and towns in the region. Asheville, Black Mountain, Brevard, Flat Rock, Hendersonville, Mills River, Lake Lure, and Saluda are all within a 20-mile radius of the town. The town sits on six square miles of relatively flat land, with the Blue Ridge Mountains on the close horizon.

The town's motto, fittingly, is "Pride in our past, and faith in our future."

Fletcher’s business community is growing with new, locally-owned businesses opening every year. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the Fletcher Village Bakery, Blue Ghost Brewing Company, Blue Sky Cafe, and many more locations.

In recent years, the town has expanded its health and recreation initiatives, implementing a greenways master plan that makes the community more walkable and bikeable. At present, there are 4.5 miles of connected trails; the plan envisions expanding the network to some 13 miles.

Two local parks offer opportunities for exercise and enjoyment close to home. The 60-acre Fletcher Community Park features playgrounds, picnic areas, walking trails, and baseball and soccer fields. Kate's Park, adjacent to the Fletcher Library, has playgrounds, trails, and an outdoor grilling area.

The nearby Asheville Regional Airport is home to six airlines offering over a dozen regional and national destinations. Across the street, the WNC Agricultural Center’s 87-acre facility hosts events year-round.
