PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be referral fees for properties and tenants referred to Property Management?
Yes. Referral Fees will be paid according to company guidelines.

What types of properties are we handling?
Our primary focus will be single family homes, but we will also consider other types of properties (e.g. condos, duplexes) on an individual basis.

Can an owner list a property for sale and rent at the same time?
Yes, but it is usually less productive than if the property is listed individually. If the property is vacant it is easier to show. When there is a tenant involved, showings are more difficult.

If owners or potential owners have questions about rental property will we be able to advise them?
Yes. We will be happy to give information and advice to owners about the possibility of renting their property or in the purchase of a property for rental investment.

If an owner purchases a property but doesn’t want to rent it, can we take care of it for them in their absence?
Yes. We provide this service to owners who will not be occupying the property for long periods of time. Our fees are based on the specific services requested by the owner.

What areas will we be covering?
We will be focusing on Buncombe County initially, with plans to cover other counties in the future.

Do we help tenants find rental housing?
Yes. That is a large part of our business. We try to fill vacancies for our company managed properties first. If we do not have a suitable property in inventory, we try to direct tenants to other sources of rental properties. We do not actively look for housing for tenants outside of the company, but provide them with resources to help them in their search.

If I refer an owner or tenant to property management and they decide to buy or sell later, will property management be involved in my commission?
No. Once our relationship with an owner or tenant has ended, property management is no longer involved in commission transactions of the referring agent.

If an agent has a question or problem regarding repairs/maintenance of a listed property for sale can property management help?
Yes.  We have a large inventory of qualified contractors who would be happy to assist Agents with any questions regarding their listing.

What are our hours of operation?
We are available during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. We are also available on weekends and evenings by appointment.
