About Me

I’ve been coming to the Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains since I was 3 or 4 years old for weeks and months at a time each year—specifically, Haywood, Jackson, and Cherokee Counties in Western North Carolina and Union County in North Georgia. Living here was a lifetime goal I was ecstatic to achieve in recent years.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family seeking out waterfalls, hiking moderate trails that provide great views of the mountains, enjoying stock car and drag races, and just exploring off the beaten path. I am most passionate about contributing to food banks, abuse shelters, and animal rescues, as well as funding programs for school aged children in need, as all of these nonprofits are near and dear to my heart. For many years, I was on the Volunteer Board for March of Dimes and United Way.

What I enjoy most about real estate is finding a specific type of property for a buyer or showcasing a unique listing for a seller. Whether we're working with a specific location, size (micro/tiny houses to luxury estates), homestead, or vacation/long-term rental—my experience with all of the above gives you an advantage in today’s market.

If I were in your shoes, my top three concerns would be: the tight market with limited inventory, the incredibly fast pace at which transactions are taking place, and the fact that currently, we are in a seller's market that really ups the ante on transactions, often leading to a multiple-offer situation.

I’ve been involved in real estate personally and professionally for more than 25 years. Spanning from South Florida to Western North Carolina, at one time I owned multiple residential long-term rentals. Then, my career took me into client research for a commercial acquisitions team, as well as property management for vacation and long term rentals. Now, I'm excited to focus on real estate sales.

I also owned and operated a structural sheet metal company for nearly 25 years, working with high-profile clients on multi-million-dollar projects. Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?

When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
