After only one brief phone conversation, then a month or so of research, I contacted Ian Clark to help me make an offer on a property THAT day, and he jumped to action, executing the official offer, coordinating the process with the seller, and also contacting me that night to let me know we had a deal -- even though he didn't want to bother me "after hours," but knew I would sleep better that night knowing the sellers accepted my offer. (And he was so right! So appreciated.) The process of buying land always seems to take forever to me, but Ian helped me along the way, keeping track of any extensions we needed to request, offering advice when I needed it, and most importantly, jumping in and helping get the County to respond to my repeated requests for permit information when they failed to respond to me. Ian helped them clear up any confusion they had about what we needed, and got the permit executed within days. He also visited the property in person when needed (reviewing the survey markers, etc.) since I live out of town, and sent pictures and updated me via phone and text. Very thorough, very thoughtful, very considerate. Another thing I loved about working with Ian was his careful listening, his processing of information before responding, and his ability to find the answers if he didn't know them. Also, and probably most importantly, he took me seriously on my intent to find a little spot of land for my retirement home, and even though I didn't make a "big" purchase, compared to some of the properties around there, I never felt like his attention to me was substandard in any way. A 5-star experience in every way.
