We are a married couple team, and are very accessible to our clients. We enjoy providing the highest level of Customer Service which includes effective communication and listening.
For fun, we love spending time with our children, friends and family. We enjoy being outdoors, gardening, cycling, hiking or hanging out with our beloved dogs, Penny and Theo. A passion for us is traveling all over the United States and the World. During our trips, and at home you can find us enjoying the culture of the areas we visit that make them unique and special.

While David is a native to WNC, Denise brings knowledge from multiple regions to the table. Now that we have lived twenty plus years in Asheville, we are incredibly familiar with not only the city of Asheville but the small towns and communities that give Western North Carolina its wide appeal. We feel our vibrant community is filled with top notch restaurants, hiking, arts and breweries - just a few of the many things that make Western North Carolina the perfect location to call home.

How is the tax bill of a home determined in North Carolina?
Real property is appraised at 100% of market value and includes land, buildings, structures, and improvements. State law requires counties to reappraise every eight years, but many counties reappraise every four. A bill can be a combination of tax rates. For example, a home inside the City of Asheville and Asheville City School districts will have three separate tax rates represented on a bill: the Buncombe County rate, the City of Asheville rate, and the Asheville City School rate. All rates are totaled to calculate the total tax liability. Tax rate estimates for our mountain communities can be found on page 127 of the Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Welcome magazine.
