About Us

Doug Kelly created the DK Professionals Team of real estate brokers and has led them to list and sell record numbers of homes and land in the Lake Lure area. Doug is a strategic, analytical, marketing pro with an eye for unique details. Over his 30 year career, Doug has worked in many environments as large as a fortune 1500 company. His career lead him through the ranks of sales and management. Doug explored each position's unique traits which he built on to create great companies.

Jim Earnhardt joined Doug in 2018. He spent summers in the Lake Lure area as a child and continued to be a regular and frequent visitor before finally deciding to settle here five years ago. He knows the area well and has seen firsthand the remarkable growth Western North Carolina has experienced in recent years. He is an accomplished traveler and enjoys hiking, reading, and sports. Jim holds a BA degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA in Finance from Wake Forest University. His diverse background as a financial advisor, securities analyst and small business owner has given him a unique perspective and a wealth of experience to draw from as he helps you pursue your real estate goals.

Ken Jordan joined the team in 2018. Ken brings a diverse background to the team. He grew up in southern California and has lived in Oregon, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Maryland and North Carolina. His work experience includes a short-order cook, a stint in the Air Force, and careers in TV production, software/Internet development and since 1999, in real estate.

Don Farrell also joined in 2018. After 25 years working with Shell Chemical/Refinery Co. in Norco La. as Maintenance Specialist where he lead Mean time between repair improvement, Root Cause Analysis exercises, risk assessments, etc. Don retired. He decided that retirement was boring, and he wanted something else in his life and a Real Estate career was something he'd always wanted to do. So he went to school for his Broker's license and has not looked back.

James Stoffer joined the team in 2019. James started in the metal processing industry at 18 and worked his way up to ownership. Next he helped individuals and business owners to customize insurance coverage. James has dedicated his career to putting client’s needs first and treating every transaction as unique. His number one goal is to make a friend every day. James relocated from Florida and enjoys the refreshing mountain lifestyle in Western North Carolina with his wife and two teenage daughters.

George Carter joined DK Professionals in 2021.
