About Me

Growing up in the snow belt of Ohio, my husband Matthew and I jumped at the opportunity to relocate to Asheville in 2014. Having two school aged girls, I'm well-versed in all Asheville has to offer families. I'm up on pre-schools, youth sports, music and dance classes, dining, shopping, and medical services.

Besides the mountain views, my husband and I are grateful for the amazing friends we've found in Asheville. I've personally experienced people eagerly welcoming and supporting new families to "the village." You can find me hiking with my family, cooling off at the pool after a hot stroll through one of the local farmers' markets, taking a TRX class at the YMCA, or baking a Rapunzel cake for my daughter's birthday.

While a marketing manager in the demanding hospitality industry, I excelled at supporting the nation's top restaurants and food service distributors with their advertising and branding initiatives. Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?

When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
