Emerging from the fast paced casino industry, Eric is no stranger to hospitality. Eric has spent over a decade developing a knack for honing in on specific needs of his clients. Mr Attreau's clients will be able to trust his work ethic that revolves around great care and diligence. Eric has always had a great passion for real estate. After finishing his studies for marketing and management, he left the casino to pursue his career in real estate. It did not take Eric long to decide Beverly-Hanks was where he wanted to hang his hat. Eric has become adept in cutting edge strategies to market properties which lessen the time your property is on the market. Eric has lived in Western Carolina for 25 + years. He takes advantage of all four seasons of the mountains by enjoying anything that can be done outdoors. You can find Eric on any of the local golf courses working on his short game, playing tennis wherever the rain allows, or spending sunny days on Lake Keowee with his wife Jennifer and two daughters (Ashelyn 9, Caitlin 6).

How is the tax bill of a home determined in North Carolina?

Real property is appraised at 100% of market value and includes land, buildings, structures, and improvements. State law requires counties to reappraise every eight years, but many counties reappraise every four. A bill can be a combination of tax rates. For example, a home inside the City of Asheville and Asheville City School districts will have three separate tax rates represented on a bill: the Buncombe County rate, the City of Asheville rate, and the Asheville City School rate. All rates are totaled to calculate the total tax liability. Tax rate estimates for our mountain communities can be found on page 127 of the Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Welcome magazine.
