Should I repaint before I put my home on the market?
Before putting your home on the market, you need to get your home “parade ready.” This includes everything from curb appeal to staging. But nothing is more important than a fresh coat of paint. It doesn’t matter whether it is inside or out, the right paint can make a big difference and even lead to your home selling for more money. A Zillow analysis of more than 32,000 photos from sold residential properties finds specific colors can boost or crimp a home's selling price. Homes painted in “greige,” a mix of light gray and beige, sold for $3,496 more than similar homes painted in a medium brown or with tan stucco. Here are a few more renovation tips that add big value to your home.
