About Me
Soon after graduating from Duke University in 1985 and being a rabid basketball fan, I started working in real estate in Corporate Relocation - helping companies move employees to the Research Triangle area. Between my job as a Relocation Specialist and becoming a Real Estate Broker, I raised kids, was a professional wedding photographer, renovated a 1950’s rancher, helped raise step kids and watched LOTS of HGTV while cooking meals. Obviously, I love helping people during stressful times - helping people move, buy or sell a home, and being a wedding photographer are not as different as one might think. Communication and calmness are key! When not working, I still enjoy cooking, watching HGTV, hiking, working on a renovation project in Flat Rock, and looking for another project, always! And now, you may even find me cheering for the Tar Heels with a child going to UNC Chapel Hill.

I moved back to Hendersonville, NC in 2009 and went back into real estate in December of 2017. I have sold over 140 properties and over $40,000,000 in volume. I’m currently remodeling a 1900’s cottage in Flat Rock, and I love working with people and helping them find their dream home or dream project!

Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?
When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
