About Me

Ever since I read about America’s Castle – the Biltmore House – as a little girl, I have been enchanted by Asheville. On our honeymoon road trip from New Orleans to New York City, my husband and I made a detour to see the Biltmore in all of its glorious holiday splendor. After living on all three coasts, we feel blessed to call the Asheville area home and have the Biltmore Estate as a part of our extended neighborhood.

As a lifelong maker, I love how arts and crafts are nurtured and cherished here. I enjoy the abundance of yarn sources and meeting so many inspiring and creative people. I have a passion for golf, gardening, reading/listening to audiobooks and walking our dogs . Our daughter lives in nearby Charlotte; we are fortunate to be just two-ours away from her and another great city in North Carolina.

My love of real estate and my career as a realtor has been fostered by my appreciation for homes and architecture as well as years of experience as a marketer and engineer. I’m known as a connector of people, places, and ideas, so finding the perfect home or homesite for my clients brings me great joy. To quote Emily Dickinson: “I dwell in possibility”.

Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?

When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
