Meaghan Austin
About Me
I was born and raised in the western mountains of Maine, where the views are as breathtaking as they are here in Western North Carolina. After leaving Maine in 2009, I began a life of travel, which brought me to live and work in Hawaii, Australia, Wyoming, Colorado, then here to Asheville, North Carolina. I consider myself open to change, and I have a strong desire to achieve an equilibrium between the world around me while creating a sustainable work/life balance. This has pushed me to reach for my dreams, which brought me to where I am today.
After being in the restaurant industry for 20 years, I am always motivated to serve others through a giving heart. I will always take the time to stop and enjoy what is around me, usually with a glass of wine in hand.
Experience
Every day as a professional real estate agent, I am motivated to make your dreams come true by helping you achieve larger and more amazing life-changing experiences.
If you're ready to buy a home, I work skillfully to match you with property owners. Likewise, I'll work closely with you to locate properties that suit your individual needs, wants, and budget. Hopefully, I won't have to explain my sincere dedication. You'll find it apparent in my driven professionalism, attention to detail, and the comprehensive due diligence toward your needs.
Whether your goal is to buy or sell a home, I offer peace of mind to ensure your transactions are kept on track to close in a timely manner.
Testimonials
Meaghan truly went above and beyond our expectations for a realtor. It was a true pleasure to work with her and she helped us to find our ideal home. She also negotiated a difficult situation with the seller masterfully and landed the sale despite some obstacles. We could not be happier with our experience.
Joss Reeves & Teresa Johnson, Old Fort

She was very knowledgeable on all the properties we wanted to look at. She was very hardworking even so to the point of responding and sending over info in and out of business hours to fit our needs. Always followed up with us and gave us tips and tricks along the way. Over all she was a joy to work with. She always had a positive and fun outlook on things, 10/10 would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Meaghan Austin. As a Broker in another state and understanding the challenges for buyers in this highly competitive market, Meaghan was quick to get us in to see the property and help us get our offer in and accepted. Our transaction was seamless from contract to close!

Ask An Expert
Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?
When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
