Is the winter really a good time to sell a house?
Selling a home during winter is both a blessing and a curse. Fewer homes for sale means less competition, but less competition also means fewer showings. Here’s the good news: the buyers who are active tend to be more motivated and you’ll have to deal with fewer showings. There’s no question that homes rarely show as well in the winter as the spring and summer. But, if your home is well lighted inside and out and features cozy rooms, you’ll blast to the top of a buyer’s list. A lit fireplace on a cold day creates a cozy atmosphere that is hard to beat. Use extra lighting and warm rooms to slow your prospective buyers down and appreciate everything your home has to offer.
