About Me

I was born and raised in Western North Carolina. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication-Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. Upon graduation, I moved to Charlotte, NC. However, nothing felt more like “home” than being in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My husband and I headed back up the mountain, and we’ve never looked back. I can truly say the amazing views never get old!

In my free time, you can find me exploring wineries with friends, fishing and hiking with my husband, cuddling my two fur babies, cheering on the Carolina Panthers, or getting a good milkshake with my granny.

Things that make me happy: Enjoying a beautiful fall day, eating s’mores by a bonfire, fresh flowers, sitting on the porch swing during a warm summer night, and spending time with my family. Living in the mountains provides all of these priceless experiences.

Experience

As someone who's gone through the home buying process, I understand first hand how big of a decision a real estate transaction is for a person or family. As your full-time professional real estate agent, it is my hope to help ease your stress, whether you are looking to buy or sell a home. I want you to enjoy this exciting time in your life.

Thanks to my education from WCU, I know how to effectively communicate, not only with you, but with everyone involved in the buying/selling process. Prior to real estate, I was in the banking industry for almost five years. Being in customer service, I know how important it is to communicate with others and treat people with courtesy and respect. I am someone who is very detail oriented and committed to helping others. My small-town roots have instilled in me the desire to be remembered as someone who you can trust and lean on during difficult times.

I am very passionate about helping people find their perfect home because I know how exciting it is when you find the right one. Whether you are buying or selling a home, feel free to reach out. I’d love to chat about your real estate goals and how I can help you!

Rachel did an excellent job researching the area prior to our listing; she used different marketing resources and kept us updated throughout the process. She remained focused throughout the process on us.. "her clients"! Thank you

Rachel listed and sold our home for us. She was such a delight to work with! She was very informative and helpful and made our first selling process easy. Rachel communicated everything with us throughout the entire process and was easy to get in contact with. She made herself readily available. We were able to get multiple offers over asking price and she made it easily organized for us. I highly recommend working with her!

Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?

When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
