About Me

A native Floridian, I grew up in Miami and Hollywood, FL. After graduating high school, I attended Loyola University of New Orleans and Loyola of Rome, Italy. This experience began a life-long love of Italian culture and heritage. To this day, I visit Italy as often as possible. In 1984 a new journey began with my marriage to Douglas Cioce and over the next decade, the birth of our three sons. I feel fortunate to have two sons in Asheville and one close by in Charlotte. Our heritage is exemplified by our commitment to family. A "Sempre Famiglia" placard is prominent in our home.

My 40+ year career in real estate is based on years of custom home sales and an intimate understanding of high-end construction. Client relationships are the hallmark of my business. As resident of The Cliffs at Walnut Cove for 14 years, I am intimately familiar with The Cliffs Clubs membership model and residential inventory, both homes and lots, as well as the unique attributes of the gated luxury lifestyle in Western North Carolina.

My work in real estate began in Boca Raton, FL, following a career in the luxury jewelry business in sales and management. My success I began working in on-site sales for a family development and then moved on to start Procacci Real Estate, specializing in waterfront and oceanfront properties in S. Palm Beach County. My husband, Douglas, became a licensed Florida General Contractor in 1985 and this began a lifelong relationship of custom home building and real estate sales. Herrington Homes was formed in 1994 in Naples, FL and we moved our headquarters to Asheville in 2005. Shortly after moving to The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in 2007, I became a NC Real Estate Broker. With years of experience in luxury home construction and real estate sales, I became affiliated with Walnut Cove Realty in 2013.

Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?

When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
