Shannon Garrett

Originally hailing from Northern Virginia’s Horse Country, I grew up deeply immersed in all things equestrian—from competitive show jumping to training and teaching riding classes. After graduating from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in English and sociology, I relocated back to the VA / DC area and began a position with a non­profit group—creating opportunities for adults with severe and profound disabilities. I spent 10 years as an independent living consultant/job developer and was an integral part of moving my clients from controlled, institutional living situations into a new world, which allowed for more “open doors, choices and yes I can attitudes.”

After visiting and falling madly in love with the mountainous region of western NC many years ago, I decided, in 2005, to call the beautifully funky city of Asheville my forever home. Since starting my career in real estate 17 years ago with The Cliffs Communities, I have been fortunate to work with many of the premier, master planned communities in Western North Carolina. My dedication to the entire relocation experience is readily apparent in my ability to actively listen to each client and creatively pair their needs and desires, ultimately resulting in perfect solutions. My goal as a real estate broker is to make every client feel like my only client. In my spare time, you’ll find me on my mat in the hot yoga studio, hanging with Brian and Birdie, my 2 sweet rescue pups, working with animal rescue organizations, or checking out the many fantastic live music venues in downtown Asheville!.
