How do I know how fast is fast?
With the current demands on residential internet, finding a home with high-speed internet has moved from a luxury to a necessity. With the home now serving workplace and educational needs, future-proofing a home’s bandwidth is a priority. Internet download speeds of 100 Mbps or higher are considered fast because they can handle multiple online activities for multiple users at once. Per the FCC, a broadband connection has a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and a minimum upload speed of 3 Mbps. Cable and fiber-optic services are your best bet for fast internet speeds. Fiber-optic internet is less vulnerable than cable to slower speeds during peak usage times. If internet speed is important to you, be sure to ask for help.
