About Me

Originally from a small town in Massachusetts, I moved to Asheville in 2001 and found my new home. I love living and working in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

When I’m not with clients, I can be found hanging out with my wife and two teenage boys in the great outdoors (biking, hiking, fishing, camping—you name it!), at one of the many delicious local restaurants Asheville has to offer, or watching one of my sons compete at a cross country meet or fencing bout. Travel is also a passion of mine; Barcelona, Spain and Palenque, Mexico have been two of my favorite trips so far. I also enjoy gardening and just relaxing at home with my family, including our sweet black lab, Callie, and spirited cat, Switchy.

Experience

Integrity, communication, and attention to detail are the core values I bring to work every day to help you through your home buying journey. I promise to make the journey as fun and painless as possible.

15 years of experience as a local small business owner taught me the value of excellent communication, a strong work ethic, and positive client relationships. I enjoy educating and advocating for my clients throughout the real estate buying and selling process so that you are navigating this experience with the information and insight you need to achieve your goals. I have your back, and promise you'll even have a little fun!

In my very first year in real estate, I was named a "Top Producer". Now at Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks, I have even more tools and support, and the experience of multiple top producers in my area is available to me.

Prior to my life as a local business owner, I spent many years in the service and hospitality industry. There, I learned the importance of providing stellar customer service, the foundation of which is listening, attention to detail, and going above and beyond for my clients. I also spent a few years in the construction industry, learning about home building techniques and the various systems that make up a house. So, whether you are a first-time home buyer or seasoned investor, I have the experience, knowledge, and problem solving ability to help you reach your real estate goals!

Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?

When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
