About Me
Before settling into the Western North Carolina town of Hendersonville in 2011, I lived along the coastal shores of South Carolina where I grew up, including in Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, and Charleston, SC. I have also lived and spent considerable time in both Maryland and Florida.
I moved here as a result of meeting my wife and life partner, Christa Waddell. We love the amazing scenery and people in this area. There are just so many things to do in nature and athletically—it almost never gets boring. I enjoy hiking, as well as playing tennis and golf with friends and family.
My education includes a bachelor's degree from Clemson University and a master's from Towson University.
Experience
I am your full-time real estate guide, and I go as fast or slow as you want in any type of transaction.
I am a second-generation real estate professional. My father was both a resort developer and consultant, primarily in South Carolina, but also in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and California. He triggered my interest in real estate. Now, I've garnered experience in all areas of the industry, including property management of weekly vacation rentals at the beach, real estate appraisal, home inspection, and urban and land planning for regional and local governments. I enjoy helping clients of all types, from first-time home buyers to seasoned investors. I am always glad to help in any situation.

Ask An Expert
Is there a best time of the year to buy a house?
When it comes to buying a home, there are pros and cons for each season. Generally, the best season to buy a home is in late summer or fall. There are still plenty of homes for sale, but without the intense competition found during spring. Sellers are also known for being a bit more flexible this time of the year. Zillow reports that the highest number of listings with at least one price reduction are found August–September. However, the deeper buyers venture into fall, the less choice is available. If you value choice, and you want more buyers competing for the home you are leaving, spring could be your best season. Ultimately, the best time to buy a home is when you’re financially ready to do so.
