In today’s digital age, it’s easier than ever to research area communities and find the best real estate agent, even if you live out of town. You can search online for homes that meet your every criteria, from lot size and square footage to siding and flooring types. And with modern communication, the whole process moves much faster than the 20th century era of the fax.

At beverly-hanks.com, we make your home search easier still by providing you with extensive community information, expanded property features, and a research center—all available without ever leaving a home listing page. But we recognize that for out-of-town home buyers, there’s still one facet of the home search process that you may miss: in-person property tours.

For some buyers, it’s not enough to see select photos of the kitchen and bedroom suite; you want to inspect every nook and cranny of a home before you commit. That’s why we provide 3D home tours for many of our listings.

Unfamiliar with 3D home tours? We can help! Here’s how to view a 3D home tour in four easy steps:

How to View a 3D Home Tour

Step 1: Submit your custom home search at beverly-hanks.com/search

Specify the community and property features that mean the most to you. You can narrow by price range, geographic area, or the number of bedrooms and baths. We even have preset specialized searches available for specific lifestyles. Once you have your criteria in place, click any of the Search buttons.

Pro tip: Not getting enough results for your search? You may have made your selection a little too specific for the tight market we’re seeing now. Simply back up and widen your criteria some.

Step 2: Select a home with a 3D button.

On our site, you can preview which homes have 3D tours directly from the search results. Just look for listings with a blue “3D HOME TOUR” banner in the bottom left corner of the image. Select a home with a 3D tour that interests you.

Pro tip: Do you see listings with a “VIRTUAL SHOWING” banner instead? These are homes that have video tours available (non-interactive).

Step 3: Click the 3D tour button.

Once you’re on the home’s listing page, review the features of the home, including the property features and lifestyles tabs. If this home looks like it could be the one, click the teal 3D button on the photo section.

Step 4: Allow the 3D tour to load, and tour the home!

Your 3D tour will begin in a central location of the home, often a foyer or landing. On a desktop, use your mouse to click and drag your view. You can turn left and right, or look up and down. On a mobile device, simply use your finger to swipe around the room.

To move forward and backward, click one of the transparent circles (or tap with your finger), and “you” will move across the room. To move quickly around the floor plan, click or tap the icon in the bottom left corner. You’ll see options for the “dollhouse” or floor plan views. To move between floors, use the expandable floor menu.

It’s that simple!
