Agents Answer: Where are Your Favorite Easter Egg Hunts in WNC?

Easter is a season for community and celebration. From Asheville Downtown Association’s Easter on the Green to the Dillsboro Easter Hat Parade, there are many Easter traditions and annual egg hunts happening this weekend across Western North Carolina.

This year, there are at least a dozen family-friendly Easter events scheduled across our region. But with so many wonderful Easter festivities available, how will you know the best place to find the Easter bunny?

Luckily, our Beverly-Hanks agents are here to help. We asked them: Where are your favorite Easter egg hunts in WNC?

Grab your Easter bonnet and head to Lake Junaluska on Saturday, April 15 for a fun weekend of Easter Activities. The lake will be hosting a Friends of the Lake 5K road race, 5K walk, Children’s Fun Run, and the annual decorating contest and Easter Egg Hunt! Join the Easter Bunny to hunt for more than 10,000 eggs. The eggs are filled with candy and special prizes. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate Easter and enjoy the beauty of the Lake Junaluska grounds. There is something for everyone of all ages.

I definitely recommend the Fletcher Easter EGGSPLOSION at Fletcher Park! They have a parade of Easter hats, egg hunts divided by age, and the Easter Bunny even makes a personal appearance!

Nancy WitekWithout a doubt, the best Easter egg “hunt” can be found at the Biltmore Estate! It’s a magical event with music, crafts, stories, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Fletcher Park hosts a fantastic hunt every year. They held this year’s event last Saturday. There were 10,000 plastic eggs “found!” Be sure to look for it again next year.

The Biltmore Estate boasts of having one of the largest egg hunts in the Southeast. Dedicated to children ages 2–9, they have three separate hunts starting at 9:00am located on the front lawn of the Biltmore House. There are also other fun activities for children throughout the day. The hunt is included with the price of admission.
