What is better than a little competition mixed with socializing and getting fit? USTA’s tennis league in Western North Carolina is so much fun. All levels of tennis are played throughout the season, beginning in March and ending in October. If you are looking for a team, call Roger at the Asheville Racquet Club South and he will hook you up! Cheers, and see you on the courts.
I’ve been a member of the Asheville Sport and Social Club for over 7 years! It’s actually how I met my friend who recommended me to work at Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks. They offer kickball, dodgeball, softball, wiffleball, bowling, corn hole, volleyball, and more! There are lots of chances to be active and meet new people. Plus, it’s locally owned by two awesome fellas.
Asheville Buncombe Adult Soccer Association (ABASA) is the best! They have teams for all levels of play, and it’s a fantastic community to be a part of. Many teams are sponsored by local businesses—mostly breweries—which encourages after-game hangouts and beer drinking!
