Mountain Song Festival
When: September 6–8, 2019
Where: Brevard Music Center, 349 Andante Lane, Brevard
The Brevard Music Center is an international summer institute for teens and a world-class music venue. Each year, 400 students participate in ensemble, opera, and chamber music programs.
What: Mountain Song Festival brings the best in acoustic music to the cultural heart of Brevard, including bluegrass, newgrass, old time, folk, jazz. and traditional mountain music. The festival is designed to encourage music in daily life and promote cultural tourism and environmental awareness. This year, Steep Canyon Rangers serves as the host band, with three days of local and national acts rounding out the weekend. Enjoy the music of Del McCoury and David Grisman, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Acoustic Syndicate, Pretty Little Goat, and many more!
Who: Mountain Song Festival was developed to help fund the Cindy Platt Boys and Girls Club of Transylvania County. Their mission is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The after-school program serves youth ages 5–18 with wholesome recreation and companionship.

Where: Biltmore Sporting Clays Club, 1 Jones Farm Road, Asheville
Located on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate, the Biltmore Sporting Clays Club is a private club that draws upon the property’s century-old heritage of sporting activities. The club offers exclusive access to a variety of venues—including sporting clays, trap, skeet, and five-stand shooting—in a beautiful and secluded setting.
What: Teams of four compete in a clay shoot in the morning and afternoon. In between rounds, enjoy breakfast and lunch, as well as a silent auction and raffle. End the day with refreshments. Morning flight awards will be presented at lunch, and afternoon flights after completion.
Who: This inaugural event supports Friends of the Smokies. Funds raised will ensure that Great Smoky Mountains National Park, America’s most-visited national park, is preserved and protected for generations to come. Beverly-Hanks is a Cascade Sponsor of the event and will be sending a team to compete. Will we see you there?
