Leap Frog Tours
Leap Frog Tours is based in Waynesville and offers a variety of spooky, sudsy, and scenic tours around the region. For our purposes, we recommend their three historic ghost tours. The History, Haunts, and Legends Tour is a guided tour of downtown Waynesville that introduces you to the giant known as “Judaculla,” the “Boojum” of the Balsams, and the mountain moonshiners that still haunt the hills. The Greenhill Cemetery Tour walks you through the 200-year-old cemetery, including by seven monuments created by W.O. Wolfe, Thomas Wolfe’s father. If you’re intrigued by the spirit world, the Haywood County Paranormal Tour was designed for you. The TLC Sisters of the Paranormal from nearby Canton bring their ghost-hunting tools to investigate and possibly connect with the spirits of several haunted buildings in Waynesville.
