Chris Battista has been a resident of Henderson County for more than 39 years—so he knows the area like his own backyard. Hendersonville is the “city of four seasons,” offering an abundance of natural beauty and amenities. Chris enjoys Hendersonville’s great outdoors and is an avid cyclist, runner, and swimmer. Many things have changed in the area over the past four decades, but Chris knows Henderson County is still the best place in the world to live!
In addition to enjoying the outdoors, Chris values being involved as a professional leader in the community. In the past, Chris has served as the President of the North Carolina Mountains MLS, representing Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, and Transylvania Counties. Chris has also served as the President of the Hendersonville Board of REALTORSⓇ, as a North Carolina Association of REALTORSⓇ director, and on the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Chris serves as president for Historic Flat Rock, Inc., an organization that works to preserve historic homes, views, and land in the Village of Flat Rock and surrounding areas.

Chris grew up in Flat Rock and graduated from Hendersonville High School. He attended North Carolina State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Textile and Apparel Management and was President of Sigma Nu fraternity. After college, Chris worked 12 successful years in the home fashion industry as the Director of Licensing and National Sales for one of Henderson County’s largest employers.
Today, Chris is married to his wonderful wife, Annie, who assists him with day-to-day real estate responsibilities. When not working, Chris and Annie are big gardeners and love to tend their vegetable and flower gardens. Chris also enjoys scouting activities with his son, Raleigh. In the past, Chris has served as Raleigh’s Den Leader, the scout pack’s “Cub Master,” and is currently serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Hendersonville’s Boy Scout Troop 601.
