Visit The Carl Sandburg House and Flat Rock Bakery
November is a great time to visit the beautiful Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site in Flat Rock, North Carolina. Sandburg was an influential poet, writer and musician who lived here with his family from 1945 to 1967. They were drawn to our area, like so many are, for it’s mild climate and extraordinary beauty.
While you’re there, stop by the Flat Rock Village Bakery for a delicious meal. The bakery is a quaint space tucked into the heart of the Historic Village of Flat Rock. Its’ mission is to create a heart for the community of the historic Village of Flat Rock, and it does just that, providing the highest quality artisan breads and pastries using the best ingredients and traditional “from scratch” methods.
