The Easter Bunny is going to be busy this season! We’ve scanned low and high for Easter eggs and found a full dozen kid-focused egg hunts across the region. If you’re not sure which one is for your family, here are our agents’ favorites. But with hunts starting this week and running through Easter Day, you have more than enough time to hop around to several.

Say “hi” to the Easter Bunny for us! Here are 12 local Easter egg hunts to enjoy wherever you are in Western North Carolina:

Library Egg Decorating (Waynesville)

WHEN: Thursday, April 18 @ 4:00–5:00PM

Get ready for all your weekend’s egg hunts by decorating eggs of your own. All ages are welcome to come and decorate eggs in this spring egg decorating workshop at Haywood County Public Library.

Easter at Lake Junaluska

WHEN: Friday, April 19–Sunday, April 21

Gather with family and friends at Lake Junaluska to celebrate Easter with a powerful sunrise service and other special Easter activities. The Friends of the Lake 5K Road Race & Walk (Saturday, 9:00AM) will take participants on a route that showcases the beauty of the Lake Junaluska grounds. Children ages 12 and under are invited to the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at 11:30AM.

Curb Market Easter Open House (Hendersonville)

WHEN: Saturday, April 20 @ 8:00AM–2:00PM

The Curb Market Easter Open House is for all ages. Come to shop for produce and hand-crafted items from more than 100 vendors. Get a raffle ticket with each purchase for a chance to win a lovely basket filled with Curb Market items. Stay to enjoy an Easter egg hunt for the young and young at heart.

Canton Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 20 @ 10:00AM

Don’t miss Canton’s annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Canton Recreation Park.  This event is free to the public and the hunt is open to ages 1–5 and 6–12.  Bring your little ones to the park and enjoy the excitement of watching them hunt for eggs.

Dillsboro Easter Hat Parade

WHEN: Saturday, April 20 @ 10:00AM–3:00PM

Calling all ladies, gentlemen, children, and dogs! Grab your hat and join in the fun during Dillsboro’s delightfully unpretentious annual Easter Hat Parade! Fashion your own hat (10:00AM–1:30PM) at Dogwood Crafters on Webster Street. Get your face painted. Meet the Easter Bunny. And more! Egg hunts begin at noon on Webster Street and run every half hour by age group. The parade starts from Dillsboro Town Hall at 2:00PM. Prize ribbons will be awarded for best hats in many traditional and unusual categories.

Hendersonville Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 20 @ 12:00–2:00PM

Hendersonville’s 37th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place in Jackson Park. The egg hunt area will be filled with prize eggs, grand prize eggs, toy-filled eggs, and thousands of individually wrapped candies. The event will also feature music, the Easter Bunny, and inflatables for participants to enjoy. Bring your own basket!

Waynesville Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 20 @ 12:15PM

Come for lunch at 12:15 and stay for the Waynesville Elks Lodge’s annual egg hunt for children 10 and under. Be sure to bring your basket and camera—The Easter Bunny is on the guest list!

Easter on the Green, presented by Ingles (Asheville)

WHEN: Saturday, April 20 @ 2:00–5:00PM

Ingles Markets presents Asheville’s annual Easter on the Green in Pack Square Park. Enjoy age-specific Easter egg hunts throughout the afternoon. They will also have bouncy houses and offer free photos with the Easter Bunny. Food will be available for purchase. This family event is free and open to the public.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Biltmore Estate (Asheville)

WHEN: Sunday, April 21 @ 9:00AM–2:30PM

The Biltmore Estate’s Easter Egg Hunt is one of the Southeast’s largest! Hundreds of children canvass the Front Lawn of the Biltmore House for sweet treats, to enjoy magic shows, and grab a photo with the Easter Rabbit. After the hunt, head to Antler Hill Village to enjoy a variety of additional activities, including giant bubbles at the Village Green, sheep herding at the Farmyard, and more. Children age 2–9 may attend the hunt for free when accompanied by an estate pass holder or a ticketed adult.

Easter at Brevard Music Center

WHEN: Sunday, April 21 @ 10:30AM

Brevard Community Church will host Easter at Brevard Music Center this Sunday. Following Easter service at 10:30AM, there will be activities for the whole family! Enjoy an egg hunt, golf challenge, laser tag, a photo booth, and more family activities. Pack a picnic lunch or enjoy one of several food trucks.

Easter Egg Hunt at Hickory Nut Gap Farm (Fairview)

WHEN: Sunday, April 21 @ 12:00–3:00PM

Hickory Nut Gap Farm is the perfect place to celebrate Easter! Enjoy meeting their chicks and other baby farm animals, playing family games and activities, and creating holiday crafts, along with two egg hunts for the kiddos to enjoy. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy brunch from the farm kitchen, or bring your own lunch if you like. Space for this free event is limited due to parking. Come early for a spot!

WHEN: Sunday, April 21 @ 12:30PM

Bring your family and friends for an exquisite Easter brunch at Laurel Ridge Country Club.  Don’t miss the egg hunts at 12:30 and 2:30PM with prizes for all ages. Kids 6 and under eat for free.
