Nonprofit Spotlight: Our VOICE

Sometimes, the simplest thing you can do to make a difference is to show someone you understand what they’re going through. Every year, Beverly-Hanks agents in Asheville show our solidarity against sexual violence by walking a mile in someone else’s shoes. Walk a Mile Asheville has been voted one of the top three fundraising events in Mountain Xpress’s “Best of WNC” contest three years in a row. Today, we are profiling Our VOICE, Buncombe County’s sexual assault service agency and the organization that benefits from the annual event.
