Champion Hills is close to major retail and grocery chains, distinctive restaurants, and first-rate medical facilities. The community located just minutes away from downtown Hendersonville and about half an hour south of Asheville, NC. Nearby are Henderson County schools (elementary, middle, and high schools) and Blue Ridge Community College. The community is also conveniently located near Pardee Hospital, which is managed by UNC Health Care and is the first and only hospital in North Carolina to be accredited with the International Organization for Standardization for quality health care standards. The Blue Ridge Parkway, a sightseer's and cyclist's haven, is within a short drive, as are Pisgah National and DuPont State Recreational Forests.

Hendersonville, long known for its historic charms, is blooming into the future. The town (population 13,137) is the largest in Henderson County and is the county seat. Champion Hills was founded in 1988 by a small group of investors looking for an amazing golf experience in WNC. Tom Fazio was so inspired by the land that he joined the project as both designer and investor in 1989. Today, Champion Hills is a debt-free community and a premier country club that is entirely owned by its members.
