Directions: From Burnsville, take 197 toward Bakersville, turn left at the Toe River to pass the Green Mountain Post Office. Continue downriver on Toe River Road past the junction with Jack's Creek, cross the bridge across the Toe River at Relief into Mitchell County, bear left after crossing RR tracks, then bear left at next stop sign. Proceed downstream along the river and turn right onto Pigeon Roost Road under the RR overpass. From Asheville, turn onto Hwy 19 from Hwy 26 and proceed towards Burnsville. Continue straight onto 19E toward Burnsville. Turn left at Jacks Creek Road and follow to junction with the Toe River. Bear left and proceed following the Toe River downsteam. Cross the bridge over the Toe River at Relief into Mitchell County, bear left after crossing the RR tracks, then bear left at next stop sign. Proceed downstream along the river and turn right onto Pigeon Roost Road under the RR overpass. 124 Pigeon Roost is the first house on the right, at the bridge across Pigeon Roost Creek.
