What a terrific investment opportunity! Up to 5 possible rentals. This duplex is currently rented as 2 two-bedroom units, But it is really set up to be 4 rental units - as 2 one bedroom units and 2 efficiency units. Currently the rents for the two units are $650 and $800. The tenants pay all utilities. In addition there is an 800 square foot log sided office building with a metal roof in front of this duplex. It is not being offered for sale as part of this listing, but the owner would consider offers for entire property - duplex and office building. The Seller has run a very sucessful home improvement business of sales and installation of blinds, shutters and more. He would be willing to train someone and turn over his active accounts. Just 10 miles outside of Waynesville is Maggie Valley, a quaint mountain delight that sprang up to cater to visitors and still rolls out the welcome mat to traveling tourists. The town is an epicenter of old time mountain fun, from family restaurants and fine dining to foot stomping Appalachian song and dance to putt-putt, elk-spotting and some of the best snow skiing in the South.

From spring to autumn, the valley is also packed with motorcyclists from around the country, who come to traverse the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, motor through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and enjoy the camaraderie of other riders who make annual treks to Maggie to visit the Wheels Through Time Museum. The Museum is among the highlights of a visit to Maggie, featuring a world-class collection of historic motorcycles and some cars. Most of the motorcycles are still in running condition. The museum has been featured in dozens of television shows and magazine articles.

Cataloochee Ski Area features the best skiing in the southern mountains and typically is one of the first ski resorts in the East to open. The resort's snowmaking abilities are constantly modernized and updated, allowing it to add inches of snow to its base every time the weather drops below freezing.

Near the ski resort is Cataloochee Ranch, which has cabins, horse stables, a grand old lodge and restaurant, all atop a 5,000-foot mountain. Those not staying at the ranch are invited to join staff and visitors for evening cookouts, and you might even hear some local storytelling.

From Maggie Valley it's a short drive to Cataloochee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Elk again roam free in the valley, thanks to a re-introduction program. Dusk is the best bet for guaranteed sightings, but please, stay away from the elk. They have antlers for a reason. For true local charm, look no further than Canton and Clyde, the neighboring towns nestled in eastern Haywood County. They are situated around the Evergreen paper mill, which started life as Blue Ridge Paper Products and has been running steadily for more than 100 years.
